Natural History Museum

Natural History Museum

This museum exists thanks to the unrelenting dedication of Mons. Silvio Ferrari, economist and science teacher, who spent his life collecting and cataloguing for more than 50 years, until his death in 1968.
Donations gave a further contribution to the existing collection. The theme of the first room is zoology, minerology and malacology (shells) and there is a reconstruction of a “late 19th century private collection of natural history”. Instead, the second room represents the natural environment of the Alta Val Taro, illustrating its problems and prospects through the use of information panels, showcases and striking dioramas.
