Museo Musa

Museo Musa

Romeo Musa (1884-1960), born in Calice, Bedonia, is probably the greatest Italian xylographer of the 20th century, but was also a painter, writer, poet and photographer; certainly one of the most significant figures to represent the culture of the Apennines of Parma. Thanks to the generosity of his children, the museum has been able to set up a fascinating display of almost all his work. A board illustrates the various stages involved in the art of engraving xylographic matrixes, together with some of the tools used to complete the work.
